Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ManyTiles is a sole proprietorship based in Quebec, Canada that creates personalized digital photo mosaics. For any privacy-related questions or requests — including access, correction, deletion, or any right under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) — contact our Person in Charge of the Protection of Personal Information (Privacy Officer):

2. Information we collect

• Photos you upload to create your mosaic.
• Email address when you complete a purchase (collected by our payment processor and shared with us to send your receipt and high-resolution download link).
• Order details: amount, currency, timestamp, and a recovery token used to retrieve your finished mosaic.
• Payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical data strictly necessary to operate the site (session, security).

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

3. How we use your information

• To generate, store, and deliver your high-resolution mosaic.
• To send your receipt and a recovery link so you can re-download your file from any device.
• To provide customer support and handle refund requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records).

Under the GDPR (for EU/UK customers), our legal bases are performance of a contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating a secure service.

4. Service providers we share with

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Our hosting and storage provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) — secure hosting of the application and your finished mosaic file in a private storage bucket.
• Email delivery provider — to send your receipt and recovery link.

We do not sell or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

5. International transfers

Because we work with global service providers, your personal information may be communicated, stored, or processed outside of Quebec and Canada (including in the United States and the European Union). Before any such transfer, we assess that the destination provides adequate protection, in particular through the contractual safeguards offered by our service providers, in accordance with Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your finished mosaic file indefinitely so you can re-download it at any time using your recovery link. Order records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your file and order at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (Canada under PIPEDA/Quebec Law 25, EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
• receive a portable copy of your data;
• withdraw consent;
• lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Quebec, the CAI; in the EU, your national DPA; in California, the Attorney General or CPPA).

8. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard practices: encrypted transport (HTTPS), private storage buckets with signed access URLs, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password if we ever offer account features.

9. Children

ManyTiles is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
